Job Description
We are currently looking for a UI and Visual Web Designer for our client's office in Brussels.
Your main duties will be:
- Creating sketched concepts
- Maintaining and creating page templates
- Creating and maintaining a visual component library and style guides
- Creating/correcting CSS and transforming mock-ups into semantic HTML
- Preparing high-fidelity mock-ups, showing styling, use of typography, images, text, navigation, etc.
- Creating illustrations, visuals, infographics, data visualizations, etc.
- Designing and developing user interfaces for different web products and platforms
- Developing a wide range of deliverables (annotated mock-ups, storyboards, wireframes, user interface elements, and interaction workflows)
- Following up the user experience process from brainstorming through to research, sketches, prototypes and ,final implementation
- Developing innovative solutions for different platforms
Qualifications
If you have:
- Bachelor’s degree plus, minimum 9 years of ICT experience
- Knowledge of (web/visual) design, graphical and prototyping tools and software
- Knowledge of web technologies and standards (e.g. HTML, XML, CSS, Accessibility, SEO)
- Knowledge of web ergonomics, usability and accessibility
- Knowledge of fundamental visual and typographic design disciplines and principles
- English: Understanding (B2), Speaking (B2), Writing (B2)
- Strong communication skills

- Familiar with UX, accessibility and data protection principles
- Familiarity with user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Confidence and creativity to go beyond the obvious and to defend design ideas
- Ability to cope with fast-changing technologies used in visual design
- Knowledge of prototyping, wireframing, interaction flows, information architecture and user testing
- Strong communication skills
